Our goals

01 Identify opportunities and challenges for stakeholders in the flexible plastic food packaging recycling chain across the four regions covered by the project
This involves an in-depth interregional analysis to identify and understand weaknesses and bottlenecks, as well as strengths and potential interregional synergies in these value chains. This is the focus of WP3, coordinated by Pack4Food (Flanders) in collaboration with EuraMaterials (Hauts-de-France), Wagralim (Wallonia), and Agria Grand-Est.

02 Raise awareness among manufacturers about regulatory changes and recent innovations, and involve them in the project’s direction
This trough various dissemination events in the four regions covered by the project, the implementation of a technology watch, and the distribution of newsletters throughout the project. Manufacturers will also be invited to participate in brainstorming and co-creation workshops to prepare business cases.
This is the focus of WP4, coordinated by Agria Grand Est.

03 Developing concrete examples of recyclable packaging for the cross-border market
By mobilizing manufacturers from every link in the value chain, the aim is to define five business cases that directly meet the needs identified in cross-border markets, bring stakeholders together to draw up specifications, and jointly develop new food packaging prototypes adapted to the constraints and recyclability challenges of the targeted sectors.
This is WP5, in which all partners will be involved with scientific support from Ghent University, in particular the Capture platform.
R-EU-CYCLE
Let’s work together to tackle these challenges and develop concrete solutions for a more sustainable future.
Are you an SME in the agri-food sector or involved in sorting and recycling in the cross-border region? Would you like to optimize the recyclability of your plastic packaging and adopt more responsible practices?
